Have a question?

Do you take formal photographs?

The majority of my wedding coverage is documentary, capturing those natural moments that happen throughout the day; I much prefer to cover the day in this way. However, I will take the bride and groom away for a short session (couple time, as a great photographer I know calls it). This is also a good time to spend together alone and catch up a bit before heading back to your guests and the party. Even during this time my interaction will be limited.

What about family photographs and groups shots?

Most people like to have some family photographs and why not? After all, how often do you ever get all the family together when there’s a photographer around?

Although I shoot in a documentary style I understand that some family members like to have something a bit more traditional. I’m very happy to do this but I advise only spending a very small part of the day doing so. Having some assistance from the grooms-men is a massive help too. I would recommend keeping the number of shots to between 10-12. We can discuss this further during your preparations.

Do you travel?

I do, I’m happy to travel to any destination in the UK and would love to shoot destination weddings too. I love to travel with my camera and combining the two seems like my idea of heaven. For weddings where I would need to stay overnight a small increase in cost to cover accommodation would be put in place.

How many photographs will we receive and how long will they take?

This always depends on your day and how long you want me around for; usually you will receive anything from 500 – 750 photos fully edited by myself. I will always aim to get your photos uploaded to your secure gallery for your viewing within 4 weeks of your big day.

How do we receive the photographs?

I’m all about no frills; I won’t be adding unnecessary costs to cover for a fancy wooden box and silver-plated memory sticks or a bottle of champagne on delivery. All the photographs will be uploaded to a secure gallery that only you have the password for; you’ll be able to customise your gallery as you like, take photos out, enlarge some etc. Feel free to share your gallery with your family and friends, there you’ll be able to download and make your own photo books, print cards, order framed photos, whatever you like. More importantly you’ll be able to download all hi-res photos from no extra cost.

Do you produce wedding albums?

Yes I do, I love to create albums. It’s the best keepsake and a fantastic way to remember your day. Call me old fashioned but handling photos on paper makes it a far more special, real experience. The cost for an album is in addition to the photography on your day and work will begin after you have received the photos and selected your favourites. That way you can be a part of the editing process and get exactly what you want. My preference is a coffee table style layflat photobook with anything between 50 – 120 pages.

Is a deposit required?

Yes please, I will need £300 to secure your date; the balance will be due 2 weeks before your wedding day.

Are the photographs copyrighted?

Yes they are, although they are yours to do with as you wish, just as long as you’re not profiting from them!
